May Mart was established in 1965 by the Sewickley Civic Garden Council (SCGC) in partnership with local area garden clubs. This beloved annual tradition has long been a vibrant “Street Fair” celebrating vendors who support the mission of enhancing our gardens, environment, and community.
The Sewickley Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to now host this cherished event, continuing its legacy while helping it grow for future generations.
In 2026, May Mart returns to Broad Street with the theme “Keeping Sewickley Green.” Streets will be closed to traffic from 9:00am to 2:00pm to make way for garden clubs selling beautiful flowers and plants, alongside over 70 vendors and community organizations offering food, garden wares, repurposed items, eco-friendly merchandise, and nature-themed gifts — just in time for Mother’s Day.
While you’re visiting, be sure to also:
• Discover Sewickley's restaurants and shop our independent boutiques and shops
• Stop by the Sewickley Farmers Market
• Visit the Rummage Sale at Sewickley United Methodist Church (corner of Broad & Thorn Streets)
• Browse used garden books for sale outside the Sewickley Public Library
May Mart takes place rain or shine and is free to the public. Please join us for this special community tradition as we celebrate spring in Sewickley!
